Four Fantastic Dining Options – Al Fresco!

June 18, 2013 By Brian Mohsenian 4 Comments

Let’s face it . . . the weather in Wisconsin is not always what we want it to be, even in the summer. So when we do have those not-a-cloud-in-the-sky summer days, we want to take advantage of them as much as we can. What better way than to dine al fresco?

Mequon has some exceptional outdoor dining options, where you can eat fine food, relax with friends and soak up that outside goodness. Here are four Mequon restaurants with fantastic outdoor summer seating options.

Fiddleheads

View of Fiddlehead's back patio, just feet away from the Milwaukee RiverFiddleheads Coffee Cafe at 192 South Main Street in Thiensville definitely sets itself apart with its beautiful natural stone back patio just 30 feet from the Milwaukee River. Surrounded by mature trees offering natural shade on those sticky hot days, the patio is just big enough for about 10 cafe style tables and chairs. The feeling is intimate and private, with the Milwaukee River as a tranquil background. It’s the perfect place to meet a friend for a coffee or a delicious gourmet sandwich or salad. Next time you’re at Fiddleheads, take a seat outside and enjoy the peaceful, natural setting with a surreal river view.

Remington’s

View from Remington's back deck in Thiensville, WIA block north of Fiddleheads on 130 South Main Street is Remington’s River Inn. With a cozy northwoods atmosphere, this American restaurant has a diverse food selection, including their locally acclaimed Friday Fish Fry. When it comes to outdoor seating, they set the bar high with their raised wooden deck a stone’s throw from the river. Comfortably seating about 30 people, this outdoor eating area is perfect for families. It’s a one-of-a-kind spot with it’s lush, green surroundings and the rush of the river filling the air. And when the back deck is full, Remington’s also provides seating on their small front patio with a Main Street view. If you are looking for a good place to eat out this summer you can’t go wrong with Remington’s.

Zaffiro’s

Zaffiro's front patio with tabletops and chairsIf you’re headed over to North Shore Marcus Theatres in Mequon, Zaffiro’s Bar and Pizzeria is right next door. Well-known for its nightlife and lively bar, Zaffiros also has a small outside patio just in front of the restaurant. The eating area is bordered by a short wrought iron fence and colorful flower boxes. There are about 8 four top tables, comfortably seating about 30 people, with classy wooden chairs. It’s the perfect place to enjoy a thin crust pizza while watching the busy to and fro of folks going to movies. And since Zaffiro’s is connected to the movie theater, you can always make that last minute dash to hit the opening credits.

Highland House

Highland House side and back deck with colorful tables and chairsAs one of the more prominent restaurants in the Mequon, the Highland House has been a family favorite for years. The back of the restaurant extends out into a large step-down wooden deck and patio with plenty of seating, surrounded by a tall tree line. There are colorfully painted wooden tables, roomy plastic chairs and plenty of heaters to ward off the cool evening chill. The Mexican adobe-style fireplace provides not only warmth but ambience to go with the strong scents of Mexican food. It’s relaxing and casual — cantina style!

The most substantial problem you should look for is “tadalafil vs sildenafil“. What can cause erectile dysfunction? Erectile dysfunction ordinarily has more than one root. Prescription drugs can save lives, but they can also come with dangerous side effects. It’s significant to mind that not all medicaments are healthy. The health care provider will decide which dosage is fit for you. If the remedy is used as needed, you are not likely to be on a dosing schedule.

Great spots for enjoying the outdoors! Remmington’s has the best cobb salad, IMHO.

Totally agree. Awesome cobb salad — hold the cheese, extra Ranch on the side. Diet coke and a good friend for company 🙂
